CHASE HUNA is a saxophonist, national recording artist, and songwriter from Palm Springs, CA who blends jazz, R&B, and pop into his signature smooth and melodic sound. Chase began playing saxophone at the age of 10 after his dad bought him his very first sax for his birthday. From the moment he started playing, he knew he wanted to perform for people. The very next day, he brought his saxophone to class and began playing songs he had been learning in elementary school music class. Within months, his parents were driving him to music venues throughout the Coachella Valley, where he would sit in with talented local musicians and bands.
At just 15 years old, Chase released his first single, “On The Chase,” to radio. The song was written and produced with jazz guitarist and multi-Billboard #1 songwriter Steve Oliver. Chase continued writing new music with Steve every weekend while balancing school, which led to the release of his debut album On The Chase in January 2017. A second single from the album, “Pure,” was also released to radio that same month.
In 2018, Chase recorded a new original song written and produced by Grammy Award–winning producer Paul Brown. The single, “U Best Believe,” was released to radio in February 2019 and marked another milestone in Chase’s growth as an artist. Working with Paul gave him deeper insight into high-level production and songwriting, further shaping his musical direction.
Not long after, Chase developed a strong passion for recording and studio work. Determined to push himself creatively, he set out to write and produce his next album entirely on his own. At just 20 years old, he wrote and produced 12 original songs for his first self-produced album, Life of the Party, released in January 2020. The project produced multiple radio singles, including “Dance” and “Dynamic Duo,” both of which gained attention across the contemporary jazz format.
Committed to refining his craft even further, Chase continued writing and recording with the goal of elevating both his production quality and songwriting. This dedication led to the release of Life of the Party Vol. II in February 2021, another 12-song collection that carried his youthful, groove-driven approach to jazz, R&B, and soul even further.
In 2026, Chase entered a bold new creative chapter with the release of his album Heart & Soul — a collection of songs straight from the heart, crafted to feel, groove, and ride with you. The project reflects a more refined and expressive side of his artistry, blending smooth jazz sophistication with soulful storytelling and melodic depth. Two singles from the album, “Just Right” and “Soulshine,” were released ahead of the full project, with “Just Right” featured on Dave Koz’s Sunday Morning Show on SiriusXM Watercolors. The next single, “The Girl Is Mine,” featuring acclaimed guitarist Peter White, continues the momentum and sets the tone for this exciting new era.
Over recent years, Chase has toured the United States and internationally with legendary artists including Al Stewart and Ambrosia, along with Peter White, Marc Antoine, Eric Darius, Brian Simpson, Steve Oliver, Rick Braun, Slim Man, and others. He has performed at some of the most prestigious jazz festivals in the country, including the Catalina JazzTrax Festival, Brian Culbertson’s Napa Valley Jazz Getaway, and the Newport Beach Jazz Festival.
Chase’s passion remains rooted in live performance, connection, and crafting music that resonates deeply with audiences.
